No sir. The total weight is 7142g. 5881g is only the oils and fragrance, you have to include the rest of the additives and the water too. Add up all of these numbers and it will be 7142g.

That’s not how the math is supposed to work. Formulas are always written as w/w%. To calculate the % of each ingredient, you have to know how big of a batch you want, for example, let’s say I wanted a 100g total batch weight and I need 2% of the total batch to be Sodium Lactate, this would calculate out to 2g of Sodium Lactate for the whole batch. There needs to be something similar to the “oil weight” but it should be something like “desired batch weight” for the percentages to calculate correctly.

Thank you! I’m playing around with it now. One thing I did notice is that the oils, fats, butters column states that it must equal 100%, which, in a non-soap item is not necessarily true. For example, these ingredients need to be 1.5% of the total batch weight and will not equal 100%. So maybe that 100% should only show for soap products but for non-soap products, the percentages should be based on the whole batch. I hope that helps!
