Scents used

I am a newbie trying my hand at making soaps. I have made a couple batches and they have turned out great. I want to incorporate scents to my soaps.
Is there an issue if Candles Scents are added to the soap batch, being that I have numerous Candle Scents left over from making homemade candles...
I'm just not sure if they are ok to add these with my soaps. Upon further research, for the most part, I see EO most commonly used.

Any help is appreciated.

Many of them should be able to be used- but double check the label as some may not be considered safe to use on skin or may have some ingredients that may cause the soap to seize. Fragrance oils for soap are labled for that use. I've used food flavorings in things like lip balm (a little alcohol in there is ok, but would cause soap to seize), so you want to be sure it's safe for that use.

Thank you, I will keep this in mind. I will start with EO then find someplace to purchase FO specific for Soaps.
