I'm using this recipe as an experiment. I got a major crack in the mold and slicing one of the halves looks like this:

I melted the solid waxes and mixed them with the liquid oils. After letting the salt-and-lye solution and the oils cool down I mixed them up. I added the fragrances, some olive oil set aside for superfat and the sugar dissolved in a bit of water at trace, and then poured into a 3d-printer mold, with some mica for coloring. The next morning I noticed a large crack in the soap, and the crack had actually forced the mold open. I've had the halves out of the mold for about four days now.

Should I change the recipe to fix this, or is it the process?

I’m not familiar with soy wax and how it works in soap, so that could be it, but if it’s firm sooner than the next day, you could cut the soap sooner. I just my hard soaps as soon as they are set up, like with a tallow soap or salt soap, within a few hours. With using wax, it should set up in minutes and go into the molds sooner rather than later.

I guessing it's2g because you had salt in the recipe from what you've said? Salt sets soap really fast and some soaps also expand a little during saponification especially if you have a bit too much lye in your recipe - as much as 2g can make a big difference.
I suggest you run your recipe through a couple of calculators again and if you're adding salt, keep a careful eye on it once it's gone into the mold. Yeah it'll get warm but don't wrap it up. It should be ready to unmold and cut in a couple of hours! It's what salt does to soap. Finally, if I've not helped you try have a look at YouTube salt soap vids. "I dream in soap" is a good one to try. Good luck. I hope you get success soon!
