Liquids not adding up..??

I have a recipe where I use Aloe Juice as 100% of the liquids, and I mark liquid discount along with some vinegar (10% of oils, also discounted), but it's still telling me I need more liquid. My ratio is 1.4:1. In my other recipe it eliminates all the liquid altogether but when I went to scale it down for a test batch I noticed it added this extra generic liquid calculation. I reproduced the recipe from a new recipe form and it still does it. I am using the "scale to fit the mold" vs weight of oils to get the batch size, so maybe that's it? I don't know, please help.

Edit to add: I just saw on the print out it changed the ratio to 5.28:1.. I don't want that, I want 1.4:1 like I put in the recipe... Why is it doing this?

I’ll get this over to a developer, but I want to be clear on your recipe. Aloe juice is 100% of the liquid, so you’re not using vinegar? Or is aloe juice 85% with 15% vinegar, or something else? I suspect that having two liquids with one supposed to be 100% may be throwing off the liquid calculation.

I use vinegar at 10% of the oils and then the rest is supposed to be aloe juice. In the edit screen, I input the aloe juice as "100%" and "% of liquids" on both the big and small recipes. I'm including screen shots of my original recipe and me scaled one, as well as the input fields for the ratio. I'm just so baffled as to it working on the big recipe and not on the little one x.x

Ok, I think I understand but aloe juice is not actually 100% of the liquids, as vinegar is a liquid too and I think that may be the main issue throwing off the calculation.

Are you using the site version or one of the apps? Can I have a link to the recipe so I can see what’s happening there?

I use the site version, it's a private recipe, can you still see it? I forgot the add that both the vinegar and the aloe are "Add with the liquids" if that matters. I like to tie my vinegar to my oil amount, but I guess I could make it a % of the liquids and try that.

Edit to not make more post notifications cause I feel like I'm annoying lol: I made a copy of my main large recipe and changed the vinegar to % of liquids. I first did 10/90 (vinegar/aloe), then 20/80, 50/50, and finally 45/55 to closer match my original recipe - the higher % of vinegar, the more extra liquid it tries to add. At 45/44 it wants to add 4.3g extra liquid. If I change it to 0/100 it is happy. If I do 100/0 it wants to add 9.56g of extra liquid. Hope this helps!
